De-Loaded Technique Enhanced by Fuzzy Logic Controller to Improve the Resilience of Microgrids Based on Wind Energy and Energy Storage Systems

Wind turbine generators (WTGs) are highly sensitive to the disturbances of grid and tend disconnect quickly during a voltage dip (when value is less than 80% nominal voltage) or when frequency greatly changed. As an increasing number permanent magnet synchronous (PMSGs) incorporated into modern power grid, system operators expect PMSG-WT play active role in low-voltage ride-through (LVRT) primary regulation (PFR). Consequently, PMSG-WTs must be capable supplying additional response changes frequency. In this context, new de-loaded technique enhanced by fuzzy-logic controller suggested develop PMSG-pitch angle control (PMSG-PAC). The studied MG consists wind farm (WF), variable load, battery energy storage (BESS). WF contains five which considered principal resource. proposed DT-FLC ensures maximum aerodynamic reserve for plant, enhances its capability regulate PAC, adjusts WTG drop speed, increases resilience presence low voltage. Moreover, PFR significantly improved terms controlling PAC (−0.0007 Hz) meets droop recommended IEEE Std 1547-2018 Moroccan code, −3 Hz −2.5 Hz, respectively.
